* warning : rpi4 is now running in 64 bits mode.
            you cannot upgrade from 29 without doing a simple manual action.
            To upgrade from 29 and before :
              1. go in the upgrade menu, choose beta and upgrade (behind, this is the stable version, but we want to be sure you'll do action 2).
              2. put you sdcard into a pc. remove the file config.txt. rename config64.txt to config.txt.

Hi, do you know if we have support of .mp4 splash video for raspberry pi4b?
cause i put splash video .mp4 in the root of sdcard and nothing happens, i put it in the folder splash in the sdcard and nothing, i try it with a lot of video and nothing… thank you.

when trying to enter a netplay game the system froze and corrupted the boot partition, this on orange pi pc, everything else worked fine

I updated to the latest beta this morning. Model 3 works great, but there is an issue configuring the controls. Could do with a gui, but even if I edit the .ini file, this gets overwritten when you launch supermodel back to default so I can’t remap buttons.

@Scofield hum, if the boot partition got corrupted, it is not linked. this partition is read only on batocera to secure it.

@LondonRetroVideoGames something i’ve to improve then in 31. too late to review mapping button automatisation now for 30.

nadenislamarre today I tested it again and it works, when the game or core is incompatible it started offline as expected, it must have been something else that resulted in it, btw just formatted boot partition and copy new files resolve my problem

Bonjour, j’ai testé les RC 1 et RC 2 pour tinkerboard et je suis bloqué au premier démarrage, lorsqu’il est noté “ Loading System”. J’ai installé batocera V30 sur différentes cartes micro sd et sd…mais toujours le même problème.

Je viens de tester la RC 2 pour XU4, et je reste bloqué au logo batocera, après redémarrage.

Tested v30 with Raspberry 3b and added SHARE content from v29 and 8bitdo controllers. Controllers work well, as video splash screen (complete and with sound ok).

SNES previous auto save seem corrupted (black screen).
PS display a popup about “probably bad bios” but it work correctly.
I wanted to test “auto save selection on game start” but don’t manage to.
Prince of Persia port was a great idea, but was unplayable : controller seem crazy and go down and right automatically without touching controller.

After updating from 29 to 30RC2 none of my windows games does work any longer except the pre-installed Ri-Li. When I start a game the screen shows scrambled artefacts and jumps back to the menu after about 20 seconds. Tried both emulators.
Deleting the game directory and re-installing the game does not solve this issue.
Downgrading back to 29 is the only solution.

Tested with my AoE2 files from my original disc.

This happens on both of my X86_64 machines that work with previous versions of batocera like charm.

Hello,
X86_64 supermodel 3 : l2 et r2 not working with 8bitdo sn30pro usb (not bluetooth). Generally l2 and r2 are not working with X-Input joystick.

X86_64 Ps2 : joystick type Switch (PowerA) not detected
X86_64 Dolphin Gamecube : since v29, Zelda twilight princess totaly freeze in game. Have to reboot Batocera cause display is corrupted.
X86_64 : Dolphin Gamecube : default buttons a,b,x and y are strangely mapped

X86_64 : batocera overlays seems a little broken . Only one vertical overlay work but not well sized. Other display only the same horizontal overlay

Sorry for these late returns. Possible to have a fix in v31 ?

Hi there. First of all, I appreciate all the hard work that went into this release. A lot of fantastic changes all around (I especially love the new Retroachievements UI)

I posted some issues earlier but nevermind, I cannot reproduce them after power cycling the machine.
