Hi everyone,
I moved from scratch to v30 (beta right now) and love the new features but sadly I think the PSX is the most impacted platform for me :(. Here the Two Issues I have on PSX
Trying Duckstation instead of PCSX
As a duckstation user on PC, seeing on pi4 got me much excitement ! But I can’t make it running correctly at 2x resolution.
Music is slow, it starts to run at 85 % speed….
So I tried vulkan driver and got instant force close.
Here the log I could find :
[INFO] [Vulkan]: Found vulkan context: khr_display
[INFO] [Vulkan]: Detecting screen resolution 0x0.
[ERROR] [Vulkan]: Failed to enumerate physical devices.
[ERROR] [Vulkan]: Failed to create KHR_display surface.
[ERROR] [Vulkan]: Failed to set video mode.
[ERROR] [Video]: Cannot open video driver ... Exiting ...
[ERROR] Erreur fatale reçue dans: "init_video()"
1980-01-01 01:04:55 INFO (emulatorlauncher.py:308):<module>: Exiting configgen with status -11
On discord, @liberodark suggests me that is a driver problem .. What else can I do ?
–> In my case, duckstation core < Pcsx core
So why not trying to get back to pcsx ?
Reverting back to PCSX
I’m used to pcsx options and emulation, but I can’t find the HD render anymore !
It was better looking and performance than the 2x render from duckstation above.
It seems that the 2 options “neon” is disabled in retroarch menu.
Even if I open the core cfg and force it to enabled, the pi4 doesn’t care at all.
If anyone can confirm what I’m saying or can help me to debug that out ..
Thanks
