Is it possible to scrape game images/videos while keeping the game names initially presented in the unscraped game lists? The names presented before scraping seem to be originated in the DAT files, and seem to be much better than the scraped ones…
For example, the scraped game names do not provide region or version info, and most clones are scraped exactly with the same names as their parents: Battle Garegga / Battle Garegga Type 2 or Cabal / Cabal (bootleg)
Sometimes, even a known parent is wrongly named as one of its clones: Green Beret / Rush’n Attack
This leads to situations where it’s impossible to distinguish between different ROMs, or where names are plain and simply wrong. Who wants to manually edit the metadatas?…
Any ideas?
