Degraded performance for PCSX2 and CEMU in v30

I just updated my Batocera version from v29 to v30 this morning but now PS2 games are unplayable and I’m getting crashes in CEMU in BotW. In v29 I had zero problems. For PS2, GoW now runs at no more than 30 FPS and BotW just crashes randomly but seems to perform roughly the same. I have no idea what the issue is but I’ve tinkered with the settings in PCSX2 all day and I still cannot get GoW to run at 60 FPS again like in v29 no matter what I do. The highest I’ve been able to get is 52 FPS that dips to 40 and that is with most hacks enabled.

The computer I’m using is a Dell Optiplex 9020 with 8GB of RAM, i5-4590 and a GT 1030. I know this computer can run PS2 and Wii U just fine as I was doing it before in V29 with little to no issues so I’m at a complete loss here.

nvidia-drivers activated?
did you already try with vulkan?

zman1719 I have the same problem after update to B30 and B31 beta still have the same issue.the only solution is : press f1 go to system>configs and delete pcsx2 file. the game start perfect .but when you close the game and turn back to menu create a new config file and get the same issues

joinski Yes. For CEMU Vulkan is enabled and OpenGL for PCSX2 since it doesn’t have Vulkan. I double checked the config file for NVIDIA drivers and it’s OK. As I mentioned everything was fine in v29 but v30 PS2 is unplayable.

Is there an easy way to revert back to v29?

just extract the content of the boot.tar.xz file to the drive, where you installed batocera on:

On one of my systems with Core i3-9100 + nvidia GTX 1050Ti i did not notice any performance decrease in PS2 from 29 to 30
