Hi all, i’ve a asus eee box eb1501p

i’ve installed bartocera directly on hdd and boot fine and work

this is the configuration:

but psp, ps1 e ps2 game are very slow…

i’ve tried 32 bit image with no response.

maybe I have to set something somewhere?
maybe the hardware of this mini pc is really that bad?

Do you have any suggestions?

Intel Atom CPUs are very crappy and low performing. Especially older ones like the D525.
In my eyes Intel Atom CPUs are one of the worst CPUs existing.

no, for psp and ps2 (and i guess ps1 also) your hardware is just too weak.

also I saw that batocera can also be installed on an android box, is that correct? if so, what characteristics should it have? (ram, rom, etc)

psx and ps1 are the same…. for that even an overclocked RPi2 is powerful enough.
i guess you meant psp? if you want to play every psp game at full speed (even the harder ones to emulate like Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition or God of War) then you need something more powerful than a Raspberry Pi (even RPi4 is not powerful enough for those more demanding games). I would use something like a more modern Intel Pentium (Haswell Generation for example), or any other CPU with at least 900 passmark cpu mark score in Single Thread Rating and as graphics card at least Intel HD Graphics (or other GPU with at least about 200-300 G3D Mark score).

for ps2 you need a beefy CPU and for some titles also a graphics card not too old/weak.
it should be a more modern core i5 at least and for the graphics card something like nvidia gtx 1050 for example.
for less demanding ps2 games a more modern i3 could also be fine and a nvidia gtx 1030 may also work good.
but there may be other users with more experience in ps2 emulation that could give better advice here.

i would rather use an RPi3 or RPi4 instead one of those android boxes, but that is just my personal opinion as i have no experience with those android boxes.
i only know the videos of ETA Prime on youtube, where he tested some of those boxes with Emuelec.

Are you sure it’s version 30? It only runs up to version 5.25 on the atom d525.
