Add Music from Earlier Version

Hello. I’m currently using Batocera 29 and loving it.

Question, I have an earlier version of Batocera on a different usb, how can I get the background music from that and add it to my current version?

Ideally, I would like the music from both versions. And when I upgrade, I would like to pull all that music and add it to that version as well.

boot the earlier version of Batocera and connect from another pc through network using WinSCP (if you are using windows) and then navigate to /usr/share/batocera/music

then copy those music files from this folder to your pc.

do the same with Batocera 29 and then copy all music files you want to have into /share/music (via Samba into or /userdata/music when using WinSCP)

Thank you joinski. That worked. I learned how to use WinScp with Batocera as well which is a plus. Very cool.
