Recommended Joypad.

Just wondering, what Joypads are everyone using?, im having a few issues with mine so wondered what everyone else uses?.

I have A 360 Pad with a plug in dongle, its ok but bloody thing just keeps disconnecting randomly unless your literally sat on top of the dongle.

I also have a Chereeki bluetooth switch joypad, works really well, only the lights 1 to 4 constantly flash as it does not seem to know what pad its supposed to be. Also when it goes to sleep it takes about 60 seconds to reconnect.

Advice on whats best to use, 2 pads using one dongle, no disconnects or weird issues?

Should Mention im using a X64 version on a dell optiplex, I5 8GB,

In my opinion the PS3 pads (original Sony Dual Shock 3) are the best to use with Batocera.

Easy to pair (just plug in usb cable for 5 seconds, then unplug and press the PS button and it immediately pairs automatically without having to go to Controller Settings and pair it there), it is preconfigured and works out-of-the-box.

After that comes PS4, 8bitdo Controllers (8bitdo SN30 Pro+) and Xbox One S (Model 1708). The Xbox 360 pad is also working good in Batocera but personally i do not like it that much, because of the mushy/sluggish and not reliable dpad (if you play for example Tetris or Dr. Mario, where you have to press Dpad right/left/down very fast, then it often happens, that it registers other directions, than you have pressed, which for those games is extremely annoying and completely destroys gaming fun).

Ok i am still getting the 7 foot distance issue, with all joypads?

Ive tried a 5.1 Bluetooth dongle but appears its not supported.

The range is awful.

you could try to use another usb port or use a usb extension cable and plug the usb bluetooth dongle in there. maybe this helps.

i made the experience, that with some PC cases, when you plug in the bluetooth dongle directly to the usb (on the backside of the case), then there can appear range and connection issues.

I just bought this one brand new, but it seems like its not supported.

Ok now having another weird issue, one ps3 controller will sync, other one wont, but both work with cables.

Think ill scrap the wireless option, to much hassle.

you could try to reset the one not working by pressing the small button in the tiny hole on the backside of the controller with a needle.

otherwise check, if the battery is charged and working and/or check if it is a real Sony PS3 controller and not a clone (those clones can have issues)
