RPi4 8GB. Batocera v30. I’m having issue. Sometimes (not always) when I exit from game I’m getting black screen. I hear music but there is no video (black screen). Only fix for this is pressing start and boot to kodi. Is there any way to fix this?

Edit: This can happen even in game. The same thing.

I am also experiencing this same problem on 4gb model of rpi4 with batocera v31. Haven’t tested v32 yet since there isn’t enough room left for the update. Only difference is, I don’t get a start menu either when pressing start. The only thing showing on screen is the tiny percentage in the bottom left corner. Turning rpi4 off and back on again returns it to normal, but will happen again after awhile every time

Have you checked that your power supply is delivering enough amps to the rpi4?

I have a Canakit PiSwitch power supply, and I havent had any problems with it so far. This is what Ive tried to help narrow down the issue: I followed an earlier post to change graphics to default in a file (dont remember full details), but that didnt work. Since this issue seems to happen during transition out of a game, I thought maybe it was the theme I was using so I switched back to default Batocera theme but it still happened. Then to make sure it wasnt some faulty hardware, I installed my Batocera img on a different RPI 4, but same problems. Then I uninstalled Batocera and tried several other retro OSes and never had this problem. The thing is, I LOVE the way Batocera is set up, and REALLY dont want to switch to one of those other OSes… I dont know why I cant seem to find posts in this forum of the same problem, and its driving me nuts. Surely Im not the only one! I really hope someone can help me with this so I can keep rocking Batocera!
