Screen size for batocera on 4:3 screen

Hi everyone,

I am planing on rusing a 1280 × 1024 hp 1950lg for a batocera setup. Works wonders to far. I am wondering if i can reduce the screen size of the image overall (respecting the 4:3) ratio like 1 or 2 inches? Id like to add wood bezels the screen is 40 wide aprox and id like to reduce its size of the output. Is that possible?
