Nvidia Gtx 550 ti driver install

Hello, I have a batocera setup with an I5 3570 and a Gtx 550 ti. Now I tried to enable the driver in the boot.config txt. After a reboot there is only a blackscreen and i don´t know what to do. Thank you for your support.

did you read the wiki part about the nvidia drivers? did you check, if your GPUs are supported by the nvidia drivers integrated in batocera?

I have a kind of the same thing…. Not sure what to tell you to get your Driver up and running, BUT SSH into your PC and edit the config file in Nano, or use WinSPC and edit it with NotePad++.

I edited mine, and the Nvidia Driver is still noty loading… Not Sure why

I had a similar issue and it turned out that the settings were not saved after I made the change. Please confirm that the change was made by reopening the file. If the settings have been saved, you will need to reboot the machine for the settings to take effect.

joinski Yes Sir I did read that. I believe that they are “If I am not mistaken” GTX 1050Ti from what I saw it is supported for the laptop and the standalone card. I also verified that the file did save. (I also moved “nvidia-driver=true” to the top of the batocera.conf.

here is where WinSCP tells me the file is “root/userdata/system”

Not sure where I have gone wrong I have a Geforce GT 1030 and after working with the 1050 Ti I popped it in and the system loads the driver no issue….

I think I see what I did wrong Looks as if I edited the wrong file……..

Turns out I was editing the wrong one this whole time SMH………. Drivers seem to have loaded, and I am testing it out now.

I checked the list of supportet Gpus and did not found mine. So i found this article (https://forum.batocera.org/d/1851-batoceralinux-525-with-nvidia-legacy-drivers-390xx-discontinued) about the legacy drivers and well, it works just fine. Thank you for your help.

Can you install NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-340.108.run on Batocera 30? I have an old Macbook pro with a NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256MB card.
