How to add .wad files. No prboom. I tested several. Only the original doom caught. How do I get the mod?

Have the same Problem. Only
Doom
Doom II Ultimate
Doom Plutonia
Doom TNT working.
All other .wad's going into black screen and go not back into Menu. Only after a Reboot RP3.

XD3l UP. Was this ever further looked at? I just tried multiple WAD files with no luck.

Just as PittStone all I can get working on my list is:
- Doom (shareware)
- Doom 2 - Hell On Earth
- Final Doom - The Plutonia Experiment
- Final Doom - Tnt Evilution
- Ultimate Doom, The

I assume this is limitation on RetroArch (https://docs.libretro.com/library/prboom/) side? It seems to be hard to find clear information on this. I found some posts referring to PSP, VITA or RetroPi. People claim they start other ports of DOOM on these. Has anyone played with this enough to figure out solution? I.E. Hexen or/and Heretic would be nice ones to get to run on PrBoom.

A bit late I know, but you can always rename any wad file to doom1_shareware.wad in the batocera/share/roms/prboom folder and it will play the wad you choose to rename

Fizzle I didnt follow up on that - as I didnt use Batocera for over 2 years now(no time). But I think name changing would not solve anything in long run. You would have to do it each time you want to try new wad and that is not efficient ;-)
