Hi,
I decided to make use of my 4tb Seagate HDD to store various ROM sets and when I had all of them copied onto it, I tested them once on Batocera and everything worked fine.
Then, I used the built-in scraper to download PDF manuals as I already had scraped videos, screenshots and logos ; but after a while I got an error message telling me the disk was full (which is completely false, it’s barely using 2% of its entire space) and ever since, the ROMs keep showing up but :
- I can’t load them anymore no matter what core I attempt to run them with
- Everytime it goes back to the Batocera UI, it forgets my controller’s configuration
It still works with the 32gb Micro SD card I use to boot Batocera on my Pi 4 though, and I know my HDD isn’t corrupted because I tried launching some ROMs on my Windows 10 laptop and they worked perfectly fine.
So what’s the deal and how can I get around this issue ? I should also add that my HDD is in NTFS format (by default), the only other format Windows 10 will allow me to format in is exFAT, and that I have no idea how to create partitions or do anything technical of the sort, I’m new to this stuff, so please talk to me as if I was a complete beginner.
Don’t hesitate to ask for more details, and thanks in advance to whoever responds.
