I recently upgraded to v31 from v27 (haven’t used it in a while!) and was pleased to see that this version supports splash videos on the RPi 4.
I followed the instructions to add splash videos (and ensured that the correct parameters were set in batocera.conf), but despite seeing the splash.m4 file in the /usr/share/batocera/splash folder when I view the files via WinSCP I don’t get to see any video play on startup, instead all I see is a blank screen whilst the hard drive is being read and then I see a few seconds of ‘Batocera Retrofix’ loading and then Batocera opens.
Is this due to the fact that I use a 1TB external USB drive attached to the RPi4 for all my roms and that this is affecting how Batocera starts up perhaps?
Any advice would be most welcome!
