Controls don't work in Libretro Mupen64

When i start the mupen64 libretro core none of the buttons on my controller do anything, nothing on the keyboard works either except f2 which displays the system time. It’s the only core I am having trouble with everything else works as expected. I am using v31 stable on x86-64

what kind of controller do you use?

do you have another gamepad, that you could test with?

I’m having a similar problem with Mupen64Plus/Parallel 64, but not exactly the same.

I have two gamepads, an Xbox One controller and a Dualshock 4, but with both of them the problem is identical: I can use the Start, A, B, X, Y, L1, and R1 buttons… but the sticks and digital pad does nothing. For example, if I run Super Mario 64, y can jump, hit, etc, but Mario can’t move.

With any other emulator I don’t have this problem.

did you remap the buttons under Controller Settings, Configure A Controller?

Do you mean specifically in Retroarch…? I configure all the controller settings in Emulationstation, and all the cores in Retroarch seem to use them without any problem… except for Mupen64Plus and Parallel 64.

No, i mean in EmulationStation.

So you only have this issue with Libretro/Mupen64Plus and Libretro/Parallel 64?

I have both (Xbox One and PS4 controller) and i will try to reproduce.

Are you using the controllers via USB cable or wireless over bluetooth?

Yes, this issue only is in Libretro-Mupen64Plus and Libretro-Parallel 64

I’m also having this problem using GPIO controls and USB Dragon Rise with cable.
