Merging in theme changes from RetroPie/EmulationStation?

Over the last few weeks I've been playing with the various forks of EmulationStation (Recalbox/Batocera/RetroPie).

While I really like the customisations done via the Recalbox/Batocera forks with regards of making system management a breeze and won't be running off to use RetroPie any time soon I'm curious to know if there has been any discussions or plans to look to try and bring over the updated theme functionality from the RetroPie ES fork?

by the way, there was not really discution.
in a more longer feature, i more thing to replace es by a more robust/performant/easy to maintain application, preferably in python. by the way, it's a big job to integrate a new front end among the current existing one.

There is a little bit more to it than just the video stuff. There are other things like being able to use marquee artwork, a carousel mode and other visual tweaks/adjustments made by the RetroPie team.

Totally agree that the integration or merging the 2 forks is no small task hence why I asked if had been any discussion or thoughts on it.

I'm interested to see what comes of the possibility of a new front.

So far I've managed to get RetroPie's EmulationStation built and installed via buildroot. This doesn't cover merging in any of the UI changes of course. Not sure how I'll fair with that as my C++ skills don't really exist.

With regards to attempting a Python based front end, it could be worth scoping what we'd like to achieve as a MVP before starting out...

just wondering around in here , will waiting for approve , then i found this thread 😃.
i have adapted the new themes format as current emulationstation have, but exclude the video, so can download any themes from emustation theme site and apply on it,
also speedup game list loading process if it content more clip art and alot of game you will see the different
and some other stuff also
