THT or xin mo 2 player encoder but only 1 player result

Good evening! i'm a new entry to this world of batocera but not in recalbox....i need a help with my 2 player joystick. I've a THT encoder and i've to modify the cmdline.txt file in boot partition like this post:

but i can't access to modify this file...in my rpi3 with recalbox 4.0 i've no problem and it's works very good without any modify and i'd like to use my 2 player joystick with your batocera linux...if you want i'll post my usb device number...please help me and the other have a xin mo or tht usb encoder...thanks a lot!

i don't know which fileyou are trying to modify.
the file cmdline.txt is exactly the same as on recalbox, is it an other one ?

I don't think is the same file because in recalbox my joystick arcade 2 playerv works...the file is cmdline.txt in boot partition and this file must be the same i'll modify and not rewrite at boot..

Making RetroPie/recalbox identify 2 players instead of one with the Xin-Mo

Add the following to /boot/cmdline.txt -- just add a space to the end of the existing entry, so it is all on one line):

usbhid.quirks=0x16c0:0x05e1:0x040

The first two numbers are the vendor ID 16c0 and product ID 05e1.

If you have a "Juyao Dual Arcade", it is the same device, but the vendor ID is 0314 and the product ID is 0328:

usbhid.quirks=0x0314:0x0328:0x040

You can find your vendor/product using lsusb

hello simply add the usbhid.quirks at the end of the bootargs in boot.ini
I have the same issue with my Xinmo 2 player controller recognized as 1, and adding the quirk solves the issue !

Default boot argument

where i find the boot.ini in my usb of batocera x86 64? it's incredibile i don't find this file!!!!!! in which partitions i've to see this file???

you have a odroid c2... i need to configure /boot/cmdline.txt in usb version of batocera 5.3 x86 64.

It's impossible??? please help me step by step because i'm desperate...

fabio4am just use patience. I know there is a file but im currently away and without computer.
An other possibility is grub.conf in boot or efi directories.

can you try to edit the file /etc/modprobe.d/usbhid.conf
and add your values and confirm it works please ?

usbid.conf in boot partition /etc/modprobe.d are a unwrittable file system

in this file i found my string and many others but it's commented by # and "options" before....

......

in grub.cfg in boot and in efi i wrote

but don't works.
The system see only 1p and the direction commands of p2 move p1. The buttons of p2 nothing.

mount -o remount,rw /
then modify the file
then /recalbox/scripts/recalbox-save...sh
then reboot

I wrote mount -o, remount....
But when i enter the file with nano usbhid.conf i see "the system file is unwrittable"
I'll repeat the work..
I don't understand what i have to do with the second file /recalbox-save..sh..
Please step by step..i'm new in linux
