Question about getting Batocera set up.

I’ve been looking everywhere for an answer to this. Can I set up the OS on a flash drive, have the games on a external harddrive and run it on my normal home computer without overwriting or deleting the stuff I have on it already?

Yes, I’ve been doing that since day 1. My setup is a Batocera boot disc (USB stick/microSD card) and my game files are in a separate portable SSD.

With this setup I can use the combo on any of my Windows notebooks and desktops. Take note that for all your PCs you’ll need to change BIOS settings to boot from USB as highest priority.

i you dont wanna miss with the bios settings then hit F2, F10 depends on your pc to give you a menu and select the right drive to boot from
