Hello there,
I have a mini PC, tech specs as follows:
- Intel J3355 2.4 GHz
- 4GB RAM
- Intel HD 500
I have Batocera v30 running on it smoothly from the internal 32 GB SSD drive. I want to upgrade it to v31. The auto-updater does not work since it gives me the “not enough space” error. So I decided to reinstall Batocera from the scratch. I have downloaded the image and flashed it to an USB-drive.
The problem is, that Batocera does not want to run from the USB, all I get is a blank screen.
I have tried the following without any succes:
- turned of every other boot option in the device BIOS
- turned off fastboot in the device BIOS
- turned off security options (they weren’t used btw)
- remove the secondary HDD (which contains my ROMS and BIOSes needed by Batocera)
- tried to flash latest v32 beta to the USB-drive
- tried to re-flash an earlier build (v29) to the USB-drive
- tried to use an other USB-drive
- flash the USBs with Etcher / Rufus
None of the above works. All I get is a splash screen of v30 then a blank black screen if the USB are plugged in. If not, v30 starts absolutely normally.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
