I have a 4 monitor computer. When I booted into Batocera for the first time it selected, seemingly at random, one monitor to use for the splash screen and then another afterwards for displaying the game list while the other 3 monitors remained black.
To simplifying what’s going on, I’ll call the monitor that first showed the splash screen monitor 1 and I will call the monitor that first showed the game list monitor 2. Monitors 3 and 4 are, so far, unused. They aren’t really in any kind of order though.
Viewing directories and moving files showed up on Monitor 1 while monitor two went black, but the light on the monitor indicated it was still on so I tried dragging the “copying files” box to monitor 2 and that worked, but I could not drag over any directory structure window which seems fixed to monitor 1.
Dolphin loaded up on Monitor 1 and could not be moved.
Now, I don’t know if it matters, but Monitor 1 is a standard widescreen monitor while Monitor 2 is a 4:3 aspect ratio flat screen monitor for running old school games full screen.
So anyway, it seems like Batocera supports two monitors (and only two monitors) and doesn’t have any settings to control which of the 4 monitors are used at all and of the two it decides to use there’s no setting that I can find to let me decide which monitor to use for what.
I was able to change which monitor was “Monitor 1” by swapping monitor cables (the monitor it selected as monitor one had a vertical orientation for writing code and reading eBooks) and that let me choose that at least, but only one of my monitors supports HDMI and I was planning on mirroring the HDMI monitor to a TV, injecting audio from the sound card so I can play games on the TV and so I kind of need to be able to choose which monitor is used for games since I can’t swap them all.
Is there any way to do what I want here?
Oh, and my graphics card is a water cooled Nvidia GeForce 980 Ti if that matters.
