Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, I’ve tried that method and it doesn’t work. If you’re using a real GC controller with Dolphin, it auto-maps 1:1. When you click the “configure” button in the dolphin Controllers window, all you can do is turn the rumble feature on/off and use the DK Bongo controller. I will look at Dolphin’s documentation to see if there is a way around this. However, this still seems to me like a problem with Batocera due to its policy of “unifying” various controller types by adopting the cardinal directions for buttons, rather than the actual button names/labels. If A=A, it wouldn’t matter where A is located on a given controller, right? Is this something the devs would consider changing?
I’m using the Larkbox Pro, it has the J4125 chip. I have been impressed by its performance, actually. So far it has run every GameCube game I have tested it with perfectly, including Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart. And it’s super tiny.
