Not as exciting as most things but nonetheless still crucial, Batocera has received a face-lift to its documentation! This includes changes to the sidebar on our wiki and a complete overhaul of the Github README file.
The wiki now features a collapsible sidebar to ease navigation and reduce clutter. It will remember which segments you’ve opened up, even through page reloads! Magical.
Click through each section title to open up its contents on the sidebar, and then click a page title to navigate to it.
This greatly improves the mobile navigation experience too; no longer do you have to swipe up ten times to get to the Advanced Users section!
Along with this, there is now a noobie-friendly Navigation page for those who aren’t as familiar with the whacky emulation-lingo we use (ROMs? BIOS? NAS? What are those even?)
Our Github README has been updated too! It now includes information about whether the main site is available or not, so check here if you’re having trouble reaching https://batocera.org/.
With all these additions documentation navigation is now a breeze! Happy retro gaming!
