KeeperAD Good afternoon! Can you tell me if there are problems with sound on VMware. Either there is no sound, or stuttering occurs. Is it possible to fix it somehow?
Atari joinski He could also be meaning that he’s installed a VM as a flatpak. The lack of specificity doesn’t help here.
KeeperAD joinski It’s very simple! I don’t have a separate computer for Batocera, but I want to play)) v.31 worked great! The only thing overlays are not displayed. And v.32 is just one big glitch. The main problem with the sound.
joinski KeeperAD why not just flashing batocera on a usb thumb drive and boot from it? KeeperAD The main problem with the sound. what do you mean exactly?
joinski KeeperAD Could you give some examples? Which systems, games are affected? And in previous versions those systems/games did not have such issues? Or are you still talking about those issues in connection with a VM? Because then i would still want to know the answer to my first question above (why not booting batocera from a usb flash drive?)
KeeperAD joinski The problem starts already with the intro and takes place in all systems. At the expense of why don’t I boot from a USB stick, at the moment it’s more convenient for me to use vmware. It’s just strange that there were no problems with v31, and v32 had such problems with sound.
joinski KeeperAD In v32 we switched the audio backend to PulseWire. Guess this is the cause. I would recommend you to use a usb flash drive to boot batocera from instead of a VM. As already mentioned, Batocera is not intended to be used in a VM.
