Logo screen stuck over games and menues

Hi, I updated to v32 on my RP3B+ and now I’m getting a logo screen (a joystick inside a triangle) over the games in apparently all systems. You can hear the sound and input keys but the image is stuck with the logo screen. Even if you exit the game, the screen is still stuck and you have to unplug and restart the system. Any ideas? Thanks!

could you either try a factory reset or a fresh new install (maybe on another sd-card)?

joinski Thanks. I was trying to avoid that. Maybe is just a config issue that can be solved adjusting a setting. At least I hope so!

Can you post a picture or video of your issue? It sounds really strange.

And do you have another sd-card laying around which you could flash a fresh new install onto and test it?

I have the same problem as the author wrote. Everything is exactly the same as he described!

I updated, then changed the config.txt . And then I could not launch any game except for sonic for dreamcast, otherwise everything is the same as described. Another issue is WiFi conection, just not found signal of any device near, like it would be broken, and if i try to in on system settings delay like 30 seconds for acces

Confirm. I observe similar problems on rpi3b+. Only the problem occurs when connecting the joysticks. If only the keyboard is connected, then everything is fine. And then it connects, then it does not connect to a Wi-Fi network with a hidden SSID. It seems to be more stable with an open one.

And by the way, I noticed on rpi4b when launching games there is no preview of the Batocera screensaver, on which rpi3b+ hangs. And the Wi-Fi network with a hidden SSID seems to be connecting normally, too. So for now, apparently, the described problems are observed precisely on rpi3b+.

I have always used an rpi3B

I did a clean install of V32 on sd card. (I didn’t update)

My roms are still on a Sandisk 256 GB USB key. It is 95% full. I had no problem with the V31.

From the batocera interface I recreated the “batocera” tree in the key.

I have the same problem. When launching a game, the batocera logo appears and freezes. Can’t get out of this screen or do anything. Forced to reboot manually.

Yet we hear the sound of the game.

This event seems random. It occurs on different emulators.

I did a second complete reinstallation by flashing my sd card

I had the “batocera” tree created in the key again.

I did put VC4 in the audio settings.

I added the line global.audio_latency = 256.

In the developer menu I checked interface preloading.

the random problem is still present …

I have a second problem. In the games menu of each emulator, with the detailed view, the screen flickers constantly.

J’ai formaté ma clé USB SanDisk 256 Go en BTRFS.

Les paramètres sont les mêmes que mon post précédent.

A partir de l’interface batocera j’ai recréé l’arbre “batocera” dans la clé. J’ai remis des Roms.

Je constate que je n’ai plus de problème de scintillement sur les écrans de choix de jeu en vue détaillée des différents émulateurs.

Lors du lancement d’un jeu, le problème de collage sur le logo batocera est toujours présent.

Obligé de redémarrer

Mais je trouve que si je relance le même jeu, ça marche. J’ai testé sur différents émulateurs et après un bug du logo et un redémarrage, le jeu démarre. Tous les autres jeux du même émulateur fonctionnent (sauf neo geo ?).

Il semble stabilisé mais au prochain redémarrage le problème revient

I did a clean install and still had this problem so I had to downgrade to v31.

Today I read in another thread that there’s a developer option to turn that screen off. It may solve the problem on v32. Can anyone still running v32 and facing the issue please confirm this solution?
