So,these are my impressions on v32 for PC x64.
Using Lenovo Think Centre M73,i5 4570T,Intel HD4600 graphics
On first boot up after updating my custom video boot splash was replaced with the new default one.
The sound output seemed to have set back to default. All I needed to do was go to system setting/sound output/select any option then back out and then go back in and re-apply the one that worked for me,all fine after that.
Sega Model 3 nice that pedals/gearshift to trigger/shoulder buttons have been added. This makes games much better to play. However for some reason not all my model games boot, this was the case on v31 as well where as on v30 all worked. Why I dunno.
Excellent the PCSX2 Libretro core was added as an emu choice.I expected the core to not give as good as performance as the stand alone but in my testing so far I think its on par.Infact I seem to have less micro stutters than when I use the stand alone.I also entered retroarch settings and fiddled with many of the core emulation settings but no matter what I adjusted I didnt notice any better performance. One plus if using the Libretro core though is we have PS2 bezels, nice.
I tried open GL and Vulcan while using the core version and I think on my system it may be slightly beneficial so for now Ill stick with vulcan.
From experience using the stand alone I know some games I can run at 2x (most at native 1x though) but when I selected them in retroarch a select save override per game it actually saved override for all games instead. Why I dont know cause per game works using the stand alone emu via Batocera setting.
Also,if using the stand alone emu option we still have the white bars in 4×3. I was hoping that would be fixed so it would black bars.
PS1 emulation: I read a while back the DuckStation retroarch core was renamed to swanstation while the stand alone is still called Duckstation. How can that be though when the choices for PS emulation includes libretro duckstation and swanstation, can someone please explain that?Odd. Both seem to give same performance.
The mednafen core still shows the PS1 bios boot even if you set it to off.
For Saturn I can only choose Beetle or kronos,if I select yabasanshiro I just get booted back to the game selection screen. This was the case in previous Batocera versions too.I know a few others have that issue as well.Why..I dont know either.
End report lol
