I saw spam so I did what I always do, I reported it on my phone and waited. Then I saw that there were more posts being made and that no one had taken care of those other ones. I reported those and again waited. When nothing happened to the ones I reported directly I pinged the Moderators, to let them know that there was spam there. This caused one of the moderators to become irate and tell me to shut up. I apologized and explained that I didn’t know that it wasn’t correct to ping at each spam post, which I was doing to let them know where the spam was and that I would shut up now. I did so.
Then the Moderator posted asking again why I would ping them. Instead of replying I left the Discord. I have enjoyed being on the Discord very much and learned a lot in conversations there and from reading other people’s posts but being told to shut up and then directly asked to respond feels too much like a kafka trap to me. I get enough of that crap on Reddit. I literally did not know if responding would result in a ban, something that I was told I would get ‘If you do it again’ and had already apologized and explained that I thought you had to ping each instance since the other instances weren’t being seen. I thought I was helping.
So I’m sorry for offending and causing any annoyances. It was not my intentions to do so.
