Boot Batocera on old laptop

Hello!
There is a laptop Fujitsu AMILO Pi 1505 with Chipset - Mobile Intel 945PM.
It can be boot from the USB Flash Drive. But without UEFI.
I downloaded and wrote to the flash drive batocera-20170906.img
On other computers, the booting takes place without problems.
And on the old laptop is not loaded.
There is a skipping of the load from the USB and loading from the HDD continues.
If you disable boot from HDD in BIOS, then writes:
"Operating System not found"
I deleted it in grub.cfg console = tty3 quiet loglevel = 0
But I did not see any mistakes.
The laptop does not boot from USB.
How can I get him to load Batocera?

1st suggestion: use latest version of rufus http://rufus.akeo.ie to get the batocera image onto a usb. try again to boot.
2nd suggestion: check the laptop bios start screen for a button (F2, F9, F10, F12 are the most common) to show the boot list or change the order of booting drives from the bios configuration
3rd suggestion: take out the laptop's harddrive completely, boot the usb.

But
1. Recorded with the help of Rufus image. The result is the same.
2. BIOS on pressing F12 offers a boot from USB. If I wrote a Windows 7 distribution on the FLASH disk, or, for example, HirrenBootCD, then the launch takes place. There is no Batosera.
3. I disconnected the HDD at all. The result is the same.

i checked your laptop model on Fujitsu's site, and it seems there isn't usb booting support at all.
if the bios makes mention to it, perhaps it was disabled by hardware design.

a possible workaround. Plop Boot Manager https://www.plop.at/en/bootmanager/plpbt.bin.html

On a CD: burn Plop Boot Manager to CD, boot to the cd and use it to boot the usb (it has it's own usb driver integrated)
or add it to Windows bootmenu (if the Harddrive is still with a working windows version) follow instruction on the page https://www.plop.at/en/bootmanager/plpbt.bin.html#runwin

I Installed EasyBSD in Windows7.
Using it, I registered in the PLOP bootloader.
When rebooting, I booted into the PLOP.
Chose the download from the USB.
The laptop hangs on the screen:

Loading EHCI DRIVER
Searching on hosts
HOST 1
PORT 1: DEVICE CONNECTED

And this hangs.

I am having pretty much the same issue on the 32 bit version

Got the PLOP bootloader installed, Chose download from USB
Laptop Hangs up on screen
Loading EHCI DRIVER
searching on hosts
Host 1
Port: 4 Device connected

and nothing else at all happens.

I am wondering if batocera can be installed with a few games on a live cd

Try a newer version: batocera-5.19-x86-20181125.img.gz

I have success with this version out of all others on older systems without EFI.
