Super Scope on SNES?

Hello guys,

I trying to play Super Scope games on SNES, you know that ones with bazooka.

I can't find a way to play it, I tried a mouse and a wii mote. Any configuration i'm missing?

Ok I found a solution. You just need to use SNES9X core and in retroarch menu (quick -> controls) change the second player to SuperScope. Then your mouse will work as the gun and a target will appears on the screen, at least for SNES games.

For NES games I didn't find a way, yet...

for the nes games, the default batocera nes core doesn't support the nes zapper.
however, one core supports it, but i didn't manage to make it works.

nadenislamarre Good news I got it working with mouse on nestopia core. Just put the file NstDatabase.xml on bios folder:

Please put it as default on next version.

It seems it recognize a big screen since you can use the mouse far away from the screen, but works fine on the game. Maybe need to change the resolution?

what do you mean by it seems to recognize a big screen ?
the big white square is the way the technical zapper works.

I suggest you to test yourself I can't explain. You can lose you cursor easily if you go to the sides. It's like the game is a small portion of a big screen you can't see, and you lose your mouse cursor there. It doesn't happens with SNES.

yes, i've tested it before commiting. but i don't think that the aim is to use that with a mouse. this will work will some other usb zappers, but in linux, this kind of zapper uses X/Y events like the mouse, so, you can test with both, but the mosue is not the real target.

I see, I didn't know about USB zappers, I'm playing the games with a mouse. But good to know I will find a USB zapper to test, will be fun
