Installing Version 32 on a Dell 4600 Pentium 4

Hi, I am trying to install Version 32 on a Dell 4600 Pentium 4 from around 2003 era. I cannot get past a screen which has no writing, just white boxes. Is my system just to old to handle this version ? Thanks in advance.

what kind of graphics card does your PC have?

it may be too old and not supported by the drivers integrated in batocera.

you could try an older version of batocera.

otherwise i would suggest to use a Raspberry Pi (3 or 4) instead. those older Pentium 4 PCs do have an enormous power consumption and are not better in terms of emulation performance than an overclocked RPi3/4

I tried earlier versions, but some of the dialouge boxes are missing. The graphics card I am using is an Nvidia Geforce FX 5200. Thanks.

i guess your graphics card is just too old and not well supported by the drivers integrated in batocera. so there is nothing you can do besides to switch to newer hardware or which i already suggested to switch to a Rpi3/4.

Try versions around batocera 5.22

However, since the cpu is too old, the released hardware after psx may not work properly.
