Bad Performances PSX on 5.9

I have updated my pi3 on 5.9 and i'm surprise by the bad performances on the PSX games (Tekken 3, Bloody Roar 2). I play often this games with my friend. Framerate is poor and audio glitch/crackeling.

When i downgrade on 5.8 (20170624) games are again very smooth and audio with scratch.

What are the changes made to the PSX emulator between the version 5.8 and 5.9?

So bad for me, i must keep 5.8 while 5.9 Dreamcast/Reicast games are better now :p

Might have something to do with the rewind function being added. You can disable it. I would also recommend disabling vibration (rumble) as well.

I can confirm the slow frame rate (as low as 25) i can also confirm that turning off rewind fixes the issue

ok, thus, i understand.
@suzsuzuki this is the reason. i should redisable it for psx on rpi.

nadenislamarre Well I only have slowdown if I enable rewind + shader... but anyway, it can always be enabled from retroarch menu

Pho3nX Just disable rewind on menu... don't need to wait the version 5.10

@nadenislamarre I have an idea. Just put in recalbox.conf:

psx.rewind=0

Then if anyone wants to enable rewind, just need to erase this line and don't need to change internal code. With this option even if you enable rewind in main game menu it will not work for psx, I tested it.

It seems rewind works fine on a overclocked raspberry and in some psx games very nice, like Castlevania.
