burned an image to SD for raspberry pi 3b+.

batocera launches but unable to launch games. 100% of disk is in use. When I SSH i see that dev/mmcblk0p2 is 100% utilization.

Running update fails with not enough space.

Delete some roms. run the update successfully, reboot and pi won’t boot.

I believe it is trying to destroyed the boot partition.

Reburned the image. SSH over. 64GB SD card image using 64GB of 128GB SD Card.

fdisk the partion.

tried recreating the partition but can’t fdisk w (write) the new partition because the mount is in use.

Can anyone point me to some batocera documentation?

How do I get a console on raspberry pi with batocera builds? F4, F1, nor CTRL+alt+f2 launch console.

Same problem with raspberry pi 4 image running on my raspberry pi 4.

Refer to the wiki etc.

Try to write the official image the right way from the beginning.

Unofficial images are not supported and seems to be a problem with using unofficial images.

The update procedure for v31 to v32 is slightly different for pi3 and pi4.

The issue is a simple issue of growing the filesystem to fill an SD card after writing the card from an image. Apparently this only happens on the initial setup.

This comes into play if you copy your build to a new SD card.

Batocera needs an option to expand the file system or instructions over SSH.

We would just fdisk the partition and grow the ext4 mount but the mount point for the SMB share is in the way.

retropie-setup scripts had a grow file system option.

“Batocera needs an option to expand the file system.” Please pass that to the dev(s).

You can do that. Look in batocera-boot.conf for “autoresize” or something similar. When set to true it will expand once again.
