game install questions

Hope I got this in the right place, if not plz inform me were to post as a new Batocera user and this platform.

Installed Batocera 32 on a Raspberry Pi 4 B. Now I’d like to add more games than whats on there from the install. Reading the Wiki it says Bat32 uses MAME standalone .232 and LR-MAME .228 (tho no clue what that is and what its for). So I am assuming that my huge .237 romset is a no go. And that I need to get a .232 romset ? If so is there a well known working easy to install (still figuring out that part out too) set for this Bat32 / RPI 4 B setup ?

Appreciate the help and direction.

freebird1963 I should mention I previously d/l Mame .235 and .139 tho could never get any to work on my PC. Why I am hoping to make this setup work.

pi4 is only 139 or 078plus.
078plus if you use cheats.

Other mame is included is an unofficial remodeling. I don’t think we can support anything other than official images

Now on the wiki site is says Mame .232 so I don’t understand. I’m new to all this and haven’t gotten my old brain wrapped around it all. So finding it very confusing.

So I need to d/l romsets for 139 or 78 instead. ?

oKay I reread it. I think .232 refers to using it on a PC and the 139 is for the linux install.
