System scanning at start?

Is there anyway way to stop or hide the system scanning on every boot?, i see it scans all the systems on every boot? why does it do this?

That’s a part of ES’s boot procedure… if that didn’t happen then you wouldn’t have any systems in your system list.
If it’s really troubling you in terms of gamelist.xml edits then you can set it to “PARSE GAMELISTS ONLY”. That wouldn’t get rid of the initial scanning.
If you’re finding that it’s doing that too slowly then you should upgrade your storage or reduce the amount of systems you have? There’s no way to just disable the scanning, unless you don’t want any systems to appear at all.

No it doesnt take to long, just dont understand why it has to do it every time.

Eh? I mean that’s essentially what it’s doing. First Time you add games: scan and add them to gamelist.xml. Next time you boot: read the gamelist.xml

Is it… just that you don’t like that progress bar? You could always play a boot video and have it set to play for longer than it takes your machine to start ES.
