Help with running Blasphemous on Batocera

Hi guys,

I am able to go to main menu of the game but when I try new game it just goes to black screen and doesn’t load. I looked online to see if anyone has tried it before but all the discussions with same problem are for Windows and it seems like it has to do with windows media pack or something.

I would really appreciate if someone can help me.

Update : I got to load it couple of times but it is not working again. I played the game on my PC and copied over the save files. Then I used the save files to load. It worked once and I played the game for couple of minutes before it crashed. I have tried to load again but with no luck.
