Roms drive format?

What format should my second roms drive be?, NTFS or EXT4?

ext4 is the default, so roll with that. Heads up though, Windows can’t read ext4 without special drivers.

Ok currently running in NTFS, i dont appear to have had any issues, is it worth swapping over?

Ive been using NTFS for my rom drive since I started using Batocera,so for about 8 months or so.

Seems to work fine for me. And yeah,main reason is so my main Window PC can easily detect it so I can easily ferry roms across when needed,and I use Scraper that way too.

(I boot Batocera from a sep flash drive)

For my RGB10Max..I also formatted the Share partition on the micro SD card to NTFS for same reason,have no issues there either.

Ah ill just leave it as is then, seems the simpler option. Whats the share partion? extra space on the batocera drive, im same as you booting from a USB drive 8GB

The share partition is where you roms would be on but thats cause its all on the same drive.

If you were using only one drive on your PC you would be using it that way too but like me,for PC you are using a sep drive to store roms on.
