Hello all!
I recently installed Batocera in a x86/64 mini pc. I only have two things that are killin’ me at the moment. I’ll keep this thread to just one because they aren’t related.
So, I installed an external ssd via usb with movies on it. Kodi sees the hdd no problem, but I use this hdd to host movies around the house via smb.
Prior to installing Batocera, I had Libreelec installed. Under the Libreelec settings within the Kodi interface, I could set “Make external drives discoverable” under the smb settings.
Under Batocera, there is no option for this. I tried adding the following text to the smb.conf file but it won’t stick no matter what I try.
[external_hdd]
comment = external_hdd
path = /media/usb
writeable = yes
guest ok = yes
create mask = 0644
directory mask = 0755
force user = root
So far, I have replaced the file outright and changed the file via ssh. When I reboot the system, the changes are gone.
What am I doin’ wrong here fellas? I just want the external hdd to show up through smb.
