MacBook Pro late 2013 - cannot enable wifi

Hello,

I have installed Batocera on external USB, with the image batocera-x86_64-32-20210920.img

Everything is working except the wifi. When I try to enable it from the menu it will not detect any wifi. I entered manually the SSID and pasword but it will not work. Rebooting does not change the situation.

I have tried, from the terminal:

batocera-wifi enable

and the response is

Error /net/conman/technology/wifi: Method "Scan" with signature "" on interface "net.conman.Technology" doesn't exist

I have searched for this in the forum and googled it but cannot find any similar case.

I use Kubuntu on my mbp 14,1 with wifi and bluetooth working but again you may need to work on it. Good luck!

Maybe mac wifi is just not supported by the linux kernel. have you tried one of the tested wifi dongles?
