Argon one v2 does not work at all with v32

If I do a clean install on sd card of Batocera v32 on my Raspberry Pi 4B, I get the normal partion resize screen, then I get the splash screen, but then I get a black screen (tested on 3 different monitors) and Batocera does not work. If I remove my Argon One V2 case from the Pi, Batocera v32 does run perfectly. In addition V31 does run the combi Pi4 and Argon One V2 case. Thus its clearly something to do with the Argon One V2 case in combi with v32. I did try and fiddle with config.txt in V32 but nothing seems to work. Any help is appreciated, it feels like a bug or hdmi setting needed for the Argon…but maybe I missed something? Because v32 explicitly states that Argon cases are supported?

I also bought the Argon One V2 with a 480GB SSD for my PI4 4GB. Works great, had no problems. I have activated the Argon One via /etc/init.d/S92switch setup, but the poweroff button does not work for me.

For me, the PI4 ran directly after installation with 4K, maybe your monitors have a problem with it.

Was there ever a solution for this?

I have a Pi4 4GB with Argon One V2 case, V35 of Batocera works fine if the display is connected directly to the Pi but as soon as the Pi is in the case and using the HDMI board I get the first Batocera splash screen and then the screen goes black and it fails to continue loading.

This doesn’t happen with other OS’s so appears tied to Batocera in some way.
