I think you don't become problems with drivers.
Intel hardware work very well with linux and your computerhardware is not the newest. So drivers for linux already exist and already are implemented in the kernel.
I don't know if the brix is better for you than the rpi3. The better performance will have the brix. But its not fast enough to emulate gamecube and higher.
I say n64 will run good, but not more.
But this is only what i say.
What think the others here in the forum?
