DVD in Kodi won't play

I have Batocera installed on a desktop machine with a DVD drive.

When I open Kodi and insert a DVD, Kodi sees that there is a DVD, but it won’t play.

Is there something more I need to do to get this working? Or is this simply a limitation that there’s no way around?

Is it possible you have the incorrect region selected in your Kodi settings for DVD playback? Try forcing the particular region the DVD is from via the settings menu: https://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Player/Discs

Has anyone resolved this yet? Changing the region in Kodi makes no difference. Kodi still recognizes the inserterd DVD, can eject it from screen controls, but Play button does nothing.

Same issue here. Last few versions will not play DVDs in the VIDEO_TS file structure format. a DVD iso seems to play fine however.

Hopefully this can get fixed as I would like to use batocera as my all in one media and emulation device and I’ve around 250+ DVD files in this format that can’t be played using it right now.
