I recently built an arcade cabinet and getting into a strange issue.
SBC: ODROID-N2+ with 4GByte RAM
Monitor: ASUS VG248QG 24″
When turning everything on, the initial boot screen shows up, then when batocera loads, there are few flickers and the screen turns black. The screen information does show 1080p input and there is no sound output via the screen speakers.
Turning the screen off and then back on after batocera loaded brings video and audio back and I can play games with it. The issue is that it makes it unusable arcade cabinet if I need to open the back in order to turn the monitor off and on after every boot.
Other things that I tried:
- Connecting a NUC to this monitor with batocera: works fine
- Connecting the ODROID-N2+ to a Dell monitor: works fine
I thought about writing a custom script that will turn the monitor off and back on after boot. But I will have to learn how to do that and I will lose all of the booting animations…
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
