System won't enter/start graphical screen

Hi All! I try to search for a similar problem but, can not find anything like this in X86 platform, so sorry if already has a solution for that.
I make the batocera linux image into ubuntu 16.04 into my hard disk, then I test in my computer 1 with hdmi and everything is ok. Then I put this HD into another computer (2) with VGA connection.
Batocera.linux booting normaly, entering in splash screen, then show 'batocera.linux' and don't start the graphical screen.
When press CTRL+ALT+2,3,4... I can log in with root@linux but can't find the file to configure videomode or other option to try new resolutions.
Anyone know where is this file? (x86)
This is the real problem or can be another think?

atguim I think I experience the same problem, with the 64bit version : https://batocera-linux.xorhub.com/forum/d/733-update-failed/2.

The version from june 2017 works for me, not the version from september 2017.

generally, this problem means that the gpu is not supported.
which is strange in the case of alex-pex is that it worked before.
There is nothing to configure.
