Stavros75 I have an rpi3b running batocera latest version for rpi3. The problem is that i cannnot change the resolution from 640×480 to 1920×1080 so i have full hd output on my tv. The weird thing is that i have an rpi3b+ and when hooked up on the same tv and with the same card the resolution was 1920×1080 right from the start. With sound (that i dont have with 3b) and all. Is there something i can do?
Stavros75 I did exactly what is described on the guide but again nothing. Rpi3b still uses 640×480 output. I used this “Any resolution listed here can be used in the es.resolution line in /boot/batocera-boot.conf. For example, es.resolution=1280×720" to force the output resolution to 1920x1080 but still, nothing.
Stavros75 [root@BATOCERA /userdata/system]# batocera-resolution listModes max-1920×1080:maximum 1920×1080 max-640×480:maximum 640×480 0.640×480.60:640×480 60Hz (640×480) [root@BATOCERA /userdata/system]# I have this when i listmodes. Is it correct?
Atari Nope, that’s your problem. Your TV is reporting to the RPi that it only supports a resolution of 640×480. So things to try: different HDMI cable, different port on the TV, try turning on the TV before the RPi, etc.
Stavros75 No nothing happened. I changed the hdmi cable the port, everything. Still 640×480. Also i noticed that i cannot launch kodi now. I dont know if this helps. Edit: I changed (uncomment) everything reffered to hdmi output and now i have 720p on my tv. Its not 1080 but its looking good. But no sound at all.
Stavros75 I swapped the second RPi I had. No sound from the first one. Thank you for your time to help me my friend. 👍👍
