240p support over built-in composite output

Hello,

it's been quite a while since new pi3 firmware enabled progressive scan support over built-in composite video output (sdtv modes 16 and 18) as can be seen here https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/issues/683

I am wondering if those changes can/will be implemented to batocera, as I am seeing myself forced to switch to another OS that support it.

It's supported 😉

Step 1

-Connect with WinSCP
-Execute this command mount -o remount,rw / and this command mount -o remount,rw /boot
-Go to /boot/ and edit this file config.txt
-Add this lines (If it is not available, check before)

sdtv_mode=2
hdmi_ignore_hotplug=1
audio_pwm_mode=2

-Save your file

Step 2

-Go to /recalbox/share/ and edit this file recalbox.conf
-Search and edit this line global.videomode by global.videomode=default
-Save your file

Step 3

-Go to /recalbox/share_init/ and edit this file recalbox.conf
-Search and edit this line global.videomode by global.videomode=default
-Save your file

Step 4

-Execute this command PATH=$PATH:/usr/sbin /recalbox/scripts/recalbox-save-overlay.sh
-Wait until see "success" appear
-Quit WinSCP
-Reboot Batocera

sdtv_mode=2 will output interlaced
