Hi,

Im starting this discussion to talk about /troubleshoot and start some development on the Udoo X86 Boards. 🙂

@nadenislamarre , as discussed on discord here is the results of the lsmod i ran on the udoo x86 Ultraboard. Let me know if you need further information or need me to look at anything else 🙂

when i have both EMMC and SD enabled in the bios i find the two below modules enabled/loaded

when i have just the EMMC enabled and the SD disabled then i only get the below module enabled/loaded

when i disabled both EMMC and SD card in the bios then both those modules are not loaded, all other system modules dont change

so if you can please could you add both modules, so Udoo users can maybe have the chance to use either SD card or EMMC to load batocera.

i've just added mmc_block for the moment,
ccm seems to be crypto_ccm and is in the crypto section.

can you try this upgrade please ?

Hi nadenislamarre,

first question, when i tried to copy the files from the boot taz after extracting them, it said there was not enough space, does both recalbox and the recalbox.upgrade files need to be in the folder or only the recalbox.upgrade

i tried by deleting the recalbox file then coping all the files over

im getting the below error

mount: mounting LABEL=RECALBOX on /boot_root failed: No such file or directory
waiting for the root device

no enough space. hum, are you adding some other things ?

recalbox is the oldversion
recalbox.upgrade is the file in the boot.tar.xz

when batocera boots, it renames recalbox.upgrade by recalbox
so in other words, rm recalbox and rename recalbox.upgrade to recalbox.

if you don't manage, remove all the partition RECALBOX and unzip boot.tar.xz inside, this is the same content.

Still no luck i did what you suggested and renamed the file, but when i boot, im getting the error

trying to give you more information so i can maybe help resolve this issue, what iv done now, is i ran a lsmod command on LUbuntu as well as on Batocera, so you can see what mods are being loaded into Lubuntu when EMMC and SD card are enabled and what mods are being loaded into Batocera when EMMC and SD are loaded

no luck ,i tried the new image and still the same issue, doesnt boot into Batocera, also noticed that it doesnt even get as far as renaming the recalbox.upgrade file to recalbox,

@nadenislamarre please take a look at mpdas108 image he built and boot files, its finally resolved the emmc booting issues on the Udoo x86 Ultra. 🙂 can these changes be added to future builds you release
