PS4 controller latency issue on V33 PC

Hi guys,

I’m on V33 X86 PC with a TP-LINK BT500 dongle to use a PS4 controller.

Pairing works fine but when the controller is connected, there is an incredible random latency (menu and games) while wired controllers work perfectly!!

Any ideas?!

I would try with another bluetooth dongle/adapter to rule out, if your TP-LINK BT500 is the cause of this issue.

Vini77 If possible, avoid Bluetooth 5.0. Its implementation is still pretty buggy in Linux.
Also, there is no such thing as the TP-Link BT500. Are you getting confused with the Asus BT500? Last I heard, that was not supported by Batocera at all. You can refer to the list of compatible dongles here: https://wiki.batocera.org/hardware:compatible_dongle_list
You’ll also find on that page some tips for which dongles to look out for.

Sorry, I use a TP-Link UB400 dongle… Normally it seems to be compatible with Batocera!!

try another usb-port (if you connected the bluetooth usb dongle at the back of the PC, then try a front-usb port, if your case has one or maybe even use a usb-extension cable).

what is the distance of your pc to the place where you hold your ps4 controllers in your hand? sometimes the angle or distance between the bluetooth devices make a difference.
