Argon One fan doesn't seem to work and light stays on after power off?

I got myself a rpi4 with a argon one case and flashed the newest batocera onto the SD card and added ARGONONE to the power option in the conf file on the USB drive. However the fan never starts up and the thing goes hot pretty quick.

I’ve also SSH’d onto the device with no usb plugged and edited the batocera.conf file directly on the device sd card to no luck. I followed a recent guide here as well to change settings via nano /usr/bin/rpi-argonone but these settings seem to be correct and merged since.

I’ve seen some mentions that you need to maybe edit stuff via ssh etc but nothing is made very clear for new users just entering this stuff for the first time. Is there a known solution for the Argon One case support?

For reference I am using a non M2 variant of Argon One and a 2tb drive connected to the unit.

There’s a lot of technical jargon, but the essence is you just set the right case in batocera.conf like you normally would for any other case now. No more interaction necessary.
