Mame Coindrop plugin WAV file Batocera 34 - Where to put the .wav ?

batocera 34 has now support for the coindrop plugin. a wav file is supplied, where do i have to put it in /userdata ? which subfolder ? i also read that only mame (current) and mame-lr seem to have this feature, is this the case ?

It’s already present, you don’t need to manually set anything up. I think. That’s the way it should be done anyway. Maybe I’ll go and test this out.

sorry so sorry. i found out what was wrong :: (pc x86_64)
mame 0.78 does not have this feature in the advanced per system settings in batocera
emulation station menus. if you switch to plain mame as emulator (the latest/current batocera 34)
then the coin drop wav option is present. man i was not aware of this. this is a new feature from the newest
version of mame and upwards, not the previous mame versions like 0.78 etc.

You wont see the option for the Mame 0139 and 078Plus Libretro cores (any chance it could be added devs/Atari?,also for FBNeo core,Model 3 etc 😊)

You would have to use Libretro Mame or Mame stand alone emu options.

Once you have one of those selected scroll down to COIN SOUND PLUGIN and select enabled.

hm, I wasn’t aware that this was standalone specific myself. The first hurdle would be to figure out whether or not the older mame version would even support the plugin, let alone its integration into Batocera.
