Interchange games collection between Batocera and Recalbox

I ocasionally try both systems Batocera and Recalbox to test new features and fixes. Lately I’m back to Batocera due to it’s unparalleled speed in arcade systems and full support for libretro-MAME 0.243. Not even mentioning button and analog controls mappings that work out-of-box. I was searching for a way to import my Recalbox rom collection without the need to rescrape all data (images and game infos were not displayed) and finally found solution. It’s also a perfect way to import downloaded packs with scrapped content to your Batocera setup.

Install ARRM scraper
Set all the paths in your Batocera setup with all the roms dirs copied from Recalbox
select a system you want to fix and display all roms
Select all displayed roms
click “Artworks exist” button in left-bottom part of screen.
After the operation ends, save your gamelist.xml
Repeat operation for all the systems you don’t see scrapped content in Batocera.
Thats all! Now you have all the roms visible with scrapped graphics and info in Batocera!

That’s neat but couldn’t you also just check “search for local art” in Batocera to do the same thing?

Atari Unfortunately, that won’t fix problems with parsing gamelist.xml generated in Recalbox. So, the images might be found but game information is lost.
