Log file or something like this

Many times I see a user saying "did not work", however he does not give more details, leaving us without having a base of how to help.

My question: is there any log or something, that might help us diagnose the problem? Example: one of these linux does not boot, then the "quiet" parameter is removed at boot and we are going to look at where the problem might be.

Does Batocera have a file where you can check what happens?

generally, the main problem log are in ~/log/es*
this is the log for es, and it contains errors when starting an emulator.
by the way, to diagnose, there is a script which is callable by menu>information>support file
that is created in the saves directoy. it contains all informations that are available to diagnoze.
