laptop force shutdown when booting into batocera

hi my name is Denta from Indonesia

i have installed batocera v34 on usb flash disk, using balenaetcher. have turned off secure boot too. but when I enter the batocera bios, after the logo and video of the batocera logo appear, my laptop turns off, can anyone help?

I’ve tried using legacy boot too, my laptop still turns off after the Batocera logo.

my laptop is lenovo ideapad gaming 3 with amd ryzen 5 4600H processor with radeon graphics and also nvidia gtx 1650, 16gb ram, 512gb ssd

Maybe can try v33 and see if the same problem occurs? Have your laptop successfully run a version of Batocera previously?

same problem . i also using ideapad gaming 3, and the batocera automactly shutdown after showing batocera image.

but when i am using another device with lower hardware, the batocera running normally

There are two common issues that affect laptops which have simple solutions.

One is that the laptop uses the nvidia-prime switcher, the solution is to uncomment the nvidia-prime flag in batocera-boot.conf. Refer to here for more info: https://wiki.batocera.org/supported_pc_hardware

The other is that the default screen being selected is not the one you’re actually using. This can be solved by running batocera-resolution setDisplay. Refer to here for more info: https://wiki.batocera.org/display_issues
